The 2024 United States Presidential Election is on Tuesday, November 5th in the U.S.
Kamala Harris is the Democratic Parties candidate for president
Donald Trump is the Republican Parties candidate for president
The US utilizes the electoral college system where the winner of each state gets all of that state's “electoral votes”
This means the winner of the popular vote can lose the election which happened in 2016 when Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump
The race will come down to seven “swing states”: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The race is a dead heat at the moment, polling right now can tell you that it’s a tie but not who is winning.
Congress
In addition to the Presidential Race the United States will also elect its two houses of congress: The Senate and The House of Representatives.
Both are also likely to be incredibly close.

When to Watch?
Election Night coverage will begin at midnight on November 6th Swiss Time although it is entirely possible the result will not be clear until the morning or even a few days later.
